More Moose

Okay, I may be slightly obsessed. But I'm his aunt so it's perfectly acceptable.
Calling all shutterbugs:
I tried the manual aperture setting on my camera for these pictures of Moose and for some reason they all turned out very grainy. You might not be able to tell here, but they don't have the crispness I usually get. Anyone out there know what I did wrong? Help!

Look at all that hair! He's adorable!

If the aperture was too small, it may have automatically changed the ISO sensitivity. If the ISO was too high, then it could make it grainy. I'm not an expert though, that is just my guess. He is adorable!

It most likely was your ISO, were you shooting on Manual or one of the camera priority settings?

I love his hair too! What a doll. I was going to suggest checking the ISO too. The lower the ISO, the less "noise" you'll get.

He is just beautiful... the big cheeks, the curly hair, the big precious eyes! Ugh! I'm glad I don't have to worry about disciplining him... I would fail!

Not obsessing...it's your duty as the Aunt to dote! So you are perfectly fulfilling your role in his life! From an "expert" aunt!

your Moose is adorable! He has the most kissable/pinchable cheeks I've seen in a long time.

As far as your image, I don't really see grain.
What were all of your settings? Shutter, aperature and ISO.
